Next year end will mark 10 years since I started cosplaying. Creepy! Admittedly I can't say it's much of an achievement, getting old, because my vanity gave way to featuring my bjds' resinous perfection instead, but I still love the idea and would like to continue the hobby even if college threatens to consume whatever sanity is left. [If I had a gun....and if I weren't quite so logical I'd be like an idiot smoking pot, which alludes to shooting people in the head.]

There's really no point allowing fleeting fancies to drive my plans anymore since I don't have time, so I settled on a more solid list of people I'm so interested in and attached to that I really wouldn't care whether or not they'd been done a million times before. [Handily, most of them I love so much that they're relatively obscure, and so...]

First of all, thanks awfully for the comments and additions to the Chinese Naming Guide, I hope that it is understandable and useful. I updated the guide to make it more comprehensive and reliable! I've also replied to all of the comments, thanks Yapi, Scube and Babbit for the extra information! I can't believe two character surnames slipped my mind, sorry Subbie XD;; ::snug:: I always remember I was fascinated by your four character Chinese name!

I was thinking of perhaps posting this on DoA - what do you guys think? Do you think it'll be helpful? Do you think that people will choose to blatantly ignore me? Do you think they'll try to flame me? Do you think I should attempt to stand through all that like a language Communist? XDDD Help me out here! I think I'll definitely put it in Tangled, but putting it on DoA might be a little iffy. Also, I forgot - is it off-topic, oh multitude-of-mods on my LJ friendslist? XDDD

On the other hand, in our RL situation, I didn't get into any of the JCs I expected, so I went to appeal. Hopefully it works out. On the other hand, I am to attend school for the JC I was posted to first [they say they'll call me if I get in], so - Sarah? Will you be attending lessons, or the orientation again?

Also, much sighing ensues - we've been casually told by our day HAY GUYS MOVE OUT BY THE 19TH, I'LL LOOK FOR AN APARTMENT TO RENT NOW! That sucks. Two weeks mon! Oh my God.

It also just happens - this is a more trivial matter - that KKnM, our local anime store, sent the list of merchandise coming in this weekend, and it had good, scale versions of Mokona and Modoki, and I was all excited because I'm doing xxxholic this year! But you know what? I call in, it so happens that Modoki is sold out [you need to get both to get Modoki] and that this is a ONE-TIME ONLY MERCHANDISE. I'm ready to burst into tears. I thought you all read Tsubasa huh?! Why are you buying MODOKI? T____T I was, and am so sad! I haven't wanted anime merchandise in years! I was even counting out my money to buy the pair and I had it. Well, European goldfinch! I've kind of gotten over it, since I do have a smaller plushie, but I'm bitter. XD;;;

My Alichino girls, I'm having problems with the Wings Studio wigs. =____= [not the SD fur wigs seller! XD;; a China wig/costume shop on eBay.] After ignoring my mail for a month or so, and after a repeated email to them again the day before yesterday about the wigs, they handily decided to tell me that they were really busy on the costume side, and were not doing wig orders for the moment.

Quickly I replied [with quite a hostile tone] that this really shouldn't have been the case, because I emailed them a while back and back then their only reply was that they were checking for wig availability.

They handily, again, did not reply that email.

I'm going to email them again after another day or so, and if they don't reply, I think we have to find another wig source. They are really, pissing me off.

On the other hand, after passing Ryo back to Feli today [glad you like him, Feli! XD], and after a while of Kino-ing, we popped over to HMV last, and I listened to quite a few discs on demo. Deathcab's new album was out, and all its lyrics are wonderfully - TENDER. It's terrifying! They used to be so BITTER. But the music was still as nice as ever, I will have to get it.

Djinn and I are actively making a FST again, which explains why I listened to so many things on demo. What really struck me was a pretty, indie-looking disc by The Observatory. After coming back to check out the lyrics, Djinn found out they were Singaporean! I was very happy and surprised. It's always really nice to find out that great music is Singaporean, like the ever-wonderful Aspidistra Fly [I'm not just saying this because kitchensmile is on my friendlist because she found Tangled through the first music shoot *_______________* so cool!!!!!!!]. So cool. Yey!! I think I'll try to get that, too.

However, they're too mellow for the use in the FST. T___T To be frank, it's a Cosmic Boy x Brainiac 5, Legion of Superheroes FST. As if that would mean anything to you! XDD We're looking for songs on Brainiac's - Brainey's side, because alternative male songs fit Cos so much better - for Brainey, we need something forceful enough, but not too angry, and not too girly or too male. =___= The only track of his so far is Summer Son by Texas, and if anyone knows how that sounds, that's the kind of sound we're going for. The sterility of the sound, the less-girliness. XD; He's quite bitchy and since Legion is set in the 35th centuary, it's not possible to take songs with urban-place references. Can anyone reccommend something? Any help? Please? XD;

Also, DOLLS [the first volume] by Naked Ape is being released on the 24th of September! Tashi! Sena! Read it! XD I still want to rope you guys into DOLLS cosplay next year end, Djinn and I have a great skit idea and somehow the characters are so perfect. O_O

Holiday has somewhat begun for me except that next week is Camp week, THEN comes my holidays. Djinn and I are both rather morose about the camp I'm going to, because even though it's in all actuality a luxury camp [residence is a chalet XD;] I'll be gone 2 and a half days and 2 nights. I will miss Djinn very much and Djinn will miss me more because Djinn is like that. ::tight hug:: Thank god, it being a luxury camp, I will be able to call back whenever I am in the chalet and probably confound my roomates with my dependency on my handphone. XD;

I've gotten my Tsugiri coat tailored and done, because it has many frills and a victorian style that I'd never be able to, in my life, sew myself. I need to split one of the seams to up the accuracy factor, but that'll come after the prom-cum-camp and I'll be wearing it as a dress for prom. XD; I won't post photos because so people like Shin [here, happy now?!], Karen, Elaina and all will see it in all its real-life frilliness and die underneath it in their fitting, shapely promdresses! hoho. I'm too short and too fat for that, and no shapely flimsy prom dress is made to fit blobs like me.

Hair
Yesterday I chopped a lot of my hair off in the hairdressers, an attempt to imitate my anime-persona hairstyle because I saw it on a clip-and-snip in Sophisticate [a wonderful hairstyle mag that Djinn and I buy to get inspiration for hair XD;]. By now I have a sort-of personal hairdresser, and she really knows what she's doing. And so right now, my hair is very short. But nice! XD Like, Maxx's hair, but slightly shorter, cooler, because it has layers and all that. I can now cosplay people like Tatsu from Mr Fullswing, Saitoh from Bus Gamer...and that makes me verrrrry happy. XD I think I'm going to be keeping this hairstyle for the rest of my life, and the same hairdresser 'till she dies. And when I get old enough, I shall put one streak of red in my hair, so I'll look like how Scrunge always envisions me. XDD ♥

Game
We also got Sims 2 University because Djinn and I were spazzing out from the initial news of it already. It seems really very cool so far, very fun. Awesomeness, it really is. Sims 2 is terribly wonderful - we haven't played much of University, so when we get further into it, I might review it like how I did for Sims 2 before.

As for today, we ended up in Orchard just like everyone in Singapore on a Saturday - first off to Takashimaya.

Manga
As usual, we succumbed to the latest volumes of Mr. Fullswing and Air Gear. Mr Fullswing, was unfortunately wonderful as usual despite its art and the horrible Saruno jokes, and it reminded us terribly of how Mr. Fullswing is STILL our favourite manga. XD; Air Gear is all about Agito/Akito and his past and current situation, which we aren't too hot on, but it's well done and still good. Nice imagery and all and movement as usual.

On the other hand, we stopped by the magazine section and saw Zero-Sum.

XDD;;; I won't say much about Dolls until I read it properly but it MAKES ME VERY HAPPY XDDD They're somewhat like a secret service squad - they kill well and happily! XD;; Very blood-spattered series, but also has lots of hearts and flower screentones XD;;;

I like it a lot so far, and since I love Naked Ape's bespectacled stereotypes - XDDD I looooove Usagiki. I think most of you will probably guess that means - yes, I want to cosplay him. Any takers for the rest? XDDDD It has a very cool uniform!!!

I'm back again, right before Chinese New Year. Whooo.

I have four more days of paid accountness, and it is ending - and that makes me sad. Thank you, person who gave me a paid account, I had a hell lot of fun.

If you're interested in which icons I will be eliminating - I know for sure the Ryouma ones are going. Onwards to new semes, and better anime, I'm tired of Prince of Tennis and most of the English community. Although Yanagi is still my baby. And I still love everyone I love yada yada.

Anime
Djinn and I have of course succumbed to the Digital Cable's Animax, and we've been enjoying and hating it in the ratio of 1:1. The only series we're bothering to really watch right now is Cyborg 009 - and we like it a lot. It's really a pity we caught it in its last arc. =___= I seriously hope it replays again. Cyborg 009 is a nice team anime with consistant art [though debatable character designs] and the only problem with it are the main characters, 009 [Joe] and 003 [Can't remember how to spell her name, and I don't care]. We try to overlook that in team episodes. XD;

It's also actually a very tragic series, I think because old mangaka are ruthless in slaughtering people. Let's have a look in Sailormoon - nearly in every book someone burns or melts or rots away. The original ending was very very tragic, but I liked it, and I'm regretful the manga fans pressurised the original mangaka into making the ending happy instead. Currently Djinn and I are watching the 2000 anime remake and we're not too sure if the ending is happy or bad or will be shown at all.

Djinn and I have lost interest in downloading anime, and most of the current series, because a) it gets really tedious, b) we'd somehow rather download Star Trek, c) some of them are sucking like oh, say, Prince of Tennis, d) the anime doesn't live up to the manga as well.

So other than that, we set out to get Alien 9 and Cyborg 009 bootlegs but the shop didn't have any [I'm not telling you where it is, nyar nyar] of them. [Alien 9 is really good, by the way, and sweetly yuri and very sad - I think Damien Kellis-san you would like it.] So in a fit of pedo perversity, we got the second season of Meitantei [I keep saying Matantei, damn you Ragnarok Loki] Conan and spent the rest of the night of that day searching for the bits where he meets his 'rival' Hatori and we giggle about how wonderfully shota it really is. Conan/Kuro is terribly ukeuke in any form and that made me very happy.

I always liked detective series, but I suspect Kindaichi was too ugly for me to follow up on [although I do like Akechi very much]. I only liked one of the live-action Kindaichis, which had the Kinki Kids' dude as Kindaichi because it fit so perfectly - he's ugly, he's crass and exactly like Kindaichi. Also, he had a cute bespectacled sidekick [live-action original] called Makoto who keeps getting hurt and impaled all over the place. When the Arashi dude took over as Kindaichi, it was not at all convincing anymore.

So we've fallen back on old-time anime. Conan and Cyborg 009. Oh dear.

Music
Digital cable also added the fantastic Soundtrack Channel to our list of cable programs, and Djinn and I love it because very little movies have senseless rapping and so on. Instead, they tend to have alternative rock songs, which makes us very happy.

Two days back Djinn and I heard a very very indie alt rock cover of Against All Odds and it make us aww-ish. It was done by a band called The Postal Service, and later Djinn found out that the singer of The Postal Service is the singer of Deathcab for Cutie. Yay! No wonder he sounded so nicely familiar. The Postal Service was a collab between him and another musician from another indie band.

I will be putting it into the depressing playlist I'm burning for Karen. It is a must.

Cosplay
Accordingly, I really wanted to cosplay Cyborg 009, actually, 004 [Albert] from Cyborg 009, the one featured on my icon. I've even perfected how to roll my eyes up so that when people ask for photos, I can swivel them up with relative ease and show nothing but eyewhite. But Djinn was right – I'm too short and too young-looking to cosplay 004. Thus 004 will be filed away as one I would cosplay – if I were ever taller and older-looking. That might take a while though. Or never at all.

I think I've figured out who I'm gearing for next year's events. As for this year, a confirmed update:

It's been a while, and I have to admit I'm not strong on the art front right now. I did manage to do a few pieces though – today, specifically my first and only Deathnote fanart.

Other than that, today was the Chinese New Year celebrations and according to tradition, after writing the 'chun lian' [um, spring couplets I think] I started to draw with the calligraphy brush.

I recently also completed the character sketches of Kenichi and Naoki from my original series G.A.T.E.S but I'm slowly CGing in the basic colours of their outfits so I can utilise it in the future.

Superdollfies
A while back after my dad had a bit of a fiasco with his girlfriend, he got guilty after seeing possibly SD-sized bicycles and was very willing to get them for us. Of course, we didn't resist and we packed up Si Ye and Sanada to go try out the scale.

At once when we saw the bikes, we knew they were MSD sized. There were two –

We were estatic – it fit the MSDs perfectly and this was wonderful because Sanada and Yanagi attend school [transfer students] and it's so cute if they bike there. ::squee::

I love the bikes. XD They're real, working miniatures, the gears, pedal and chain all turn when you move them.

I've also been spending one day a week sewing – Saturday night really. I've been getting something done which is good.

For my classmates - yes, I am absent for an Official Reason. I've been up since nearly all of last night [UNwillingly] squirming around and in Agony because of Female Conditions, which I'm sure all of you know about dernit. It's bad, because I can hardly concentrate on studying, which really Pisses Me Off.

Mainey, if you ask how I get the time to play Sims, there is one. I played Sims for about 1/2 an hour that time, and all I was doing was setting up the house. However, if you ever want to know why I seem to have More Time, that's because I Don't Sleep. It's to the extent that there's so much to do but 24 hours in a day is too little.

In other news, I have been Studying and Listening to Luna Sea. They do have nice stuff, really nice stuff. ^__^ Most of them aren't as sorrowful as their lyrics demand, but what to do? XDDD

Home
The idiot is going to Batam again, and I nearly hope he is Attacked by Terrorists - if I didn't want his money. Instead, I hope his girlfriend is Arrested at Customs for sneaking drugs or Designer Clothing. I really wonder whether she works, because they have rugs and bathing salts and potpurri in *their* apartment, and when I find out the healthy cut that she might be taking from my dad's money [which belongs to us] I think it is due time to Wield the Chopper and drown her in a tub of her own bathing salts, and Sell the Rugs. I'm really quite fed-up with him, and her designer clothing, and the amount of time my dad made Djinn and I wait yesterday when she was busy at some boutique named after a goddamned fruit. I hate women.

We're thrown out the bedframe of ours - the slats holding the mattress kept dropping, and as much as I probably got a lot stronger by raising the mattress and putting back the slats, it still pisses me off. It also pisses the neighbours downstairs off, who send letters that piss me off once more. Also, the drawer was constantly dying and thus killing my beloved Mr Fullswing manga, so off it goes. I like the mattress on the floor, and there's enough space next to me to put the boys and their bed, with makes me :D. Their area is also right now, carpeted with zebra-fur. So happy.

Cosplay
Had a focus group with Dr Mac, who's doing a paper on cosplay, on Saturday. Moogle/Desiree [who is actually Djinn's old Art Clubmate] didn't seem to know I was coming, nor did she seem to know that I was the Edward Elric in the pictures she requested for, and after finding out that she stared at them and loved them I was feeling rather bizarred out inside [especially since she still seems to think it's RoyEd instead of EdRoy. ::helpless::] but flattered.

Dr Mac is a very nice person, and she was the one who came to Fans-Tasia and interviewed/asked Candy/Djinn/I about the SDs, it seems. ^^ She wants to know more about the SDs, which makes me happy. :D I won't reveal any more of the interview and things, because I don't find it prudent.

I also met my Saeki there, also known as mad_hisoka. I told her that she was "one of my lads" [which is an obvious reference to Monstrous Regiment by Terry Prachett XD] and that I would take "very good care of her".

Manga
Djinn insistantly wanted to get GTO and decided to get Air Gear for fun and good art. Now our room looks like a bachelor pad because it has shounen manga strewn all over the place - GTO, Mr Fullswing, Get Backers [we just haven't kept this up], Air Gear [nekkid women! <3] and Shounen Jump [one that Djinn bought for the screencapcap of the new TeniPuri game with Atobe as a detective and Oshitari as a nobel-thief thing - "Punish me pleaase~~"]

GTO is pretty cool, despite the crude bits [Mr Fullswing was probably influenced by this, too] and there's a cute guy with glasses in this [which is why Djinn wanted it] and he's very chummy with another guy called Mayu. I might or might not talk about this later again, but it's fun.

The new Mr Fullswing is out and it made me happy. Despite how stupid some of it is, it actually amuses me. The new and defeated school reminds me of Jousei Shounan and the new school's design [as usual] is simply this: Peace Maker Fullswing. SO RIDICULOUS. But I still love Mr Fullswing so.

The lastest TeniPuri in Shounen Jump is......well. Once you get to see it, TASHIGI I'M WARNING YOU IF I SEE YOU [or anyone else, really] MENTION KAIDOH AND YAGYUU IN THE SAME SENTENCE IN YOUR LJ I'M GOING TO COME AFTER YOU WITH A CHOPPER.

WTF OMG yes I was drawing sometime back, and decided to attempt Djinn's Copics. To my delight, it's a hell lot easier than CGing and I like it.

The idea of these guys being Candidate for Captain ANIMATE makes me die. XDDD Also, it seems like a 'haha' at Megami Kouhousei.

Superdollfie
Seishurou and Tsuki both have new eyelashes now. Seishurou's looked like dead spiders, so it was in need of replacement. After a quick trip to IMM, we got new lashes for Tsuki.

Tsuki's lashes are really long now, and make him look sultrier. XD;;; I really like them, though. Sei now has Tsuki's old eyelashes and no longer looks like dead spiders under his lids.

I'll post a few pictures of Tsuki's new lashes sometime. XD

I've never felt so happy colouring my own lineart. XD Djinn has such lovely art that obviously the partially finished product looks a lot better than mine - I'm really glad that my BL-game colouring style worked out fine on her stuff. XD

Tangled should be updating soon, no mattter how many times I keep saying this I really mean it XD;;;

Recently Djinn and I have been watching Slam Dunk, and today we found the Cyber Formula Good Fellowship disc. Listening and watching these two great old series made me super nostalgic. XD There is a feel to these series that can never be replicated in series of nowadays, and Slam Dunk and Cyber Formula are the most brilliant animes to me still. <3 We watched Hayato grow up, we cried for Shoyo - these old series have the ability to touch your heart and to feel so strongly for what's going it It's just so lovely.

In Sengoku [my compie XD], Djinn found a few of the old anime songs. I have been then listening to things like Just Communication by Two-Mix, Rhythm Emotion, all those Weiss Kreuz songs, Rurouni Kenshin tracks - these anime songs are really, really anime songs. Now all the songs for anime are so packaged and well - they don't give that same feeling.

So nostalgic. XD

I shall be wearing my Edward Elric jacket for the National Day celebrations today, because I have no red clothing. XD;;; I'm also due to sleep. I shall terrorize you all some other time.

The man is making a poor effort at being a father, the woman has lost her tolerance for our faces, and so have we. I am plauged by BMI, my grades are slipping and I'm generally Miserable and Upset. Also, the yaoi photoshoot is on Sunday! That makes me even more Upset. >___<

Regarding my last LJ post - I'm sorry - X3 I wrote it while my eyes were aclosing, I felt sleepy and pissed off and for sakes, I bitched about things. Goodness, the way you use them to substantiate each other's points is positively CHEATING. XDDDDDDDDDD

Contrary to the opinions of obnoxious entities, cosplay, Superdollfies and Gaia are far from the reasons on why I'm losing my head, wit and intellect over everything this year. They're the only things that make me happy [spare Djinn ::snug::] and my usual motif of "Work your Ass off and Hope for the Best" hasn't been working, with people telling me "Work Smart", or simply "You haven't been paying attention in class, have you?" and it irks me that most of them time I work most for those subjects, finish their homework first and so on so forth. A giddy day and I cannot get out of physical torture for those deemed overweight because she accuses me of fucking up my timetable and not balancing and managing well. I spared her the long and short of being Troubled, having Family Problems, feeling generally Depressed and Sleepless and ran four rounds around the field instead. I swear, if I was silly and stupid I would consider suicide but I won't because I'm not.

I can hardly understand what's going on in Math class especially, and it's not like I don't listen. She's a horrifically petty and female teacher and it's just not working out between her and me. Someone also told my dad that I'm sleeping in class, which I'm hardly doing and most of the time NOT doing anymore, and I think I need to stick a sign on my head "Whatever Gripes You Have With Me Go To Me Because My Dad Has No Bloody Right To Know".

Angst time over. No bitching! XD

On the other hand - tangled will be updated soon. That is all. Also, I haven't even been able to afford a hair change on Gaia yet. Darnit.
Need to patch up Edward Elric armor - I'll be bringing a bouquet on Sunday for my Roy. If (s)he doesn't show up, I'm going to throw the bouquet down/pass it to Tezuka (Tashigi XD) and stomp off home to sleep. My Roy is currently being happy in a nice real person world and I sincerely don't want to disturb her because I'm sick of both FMA AND TeniPuri. XD; ::is hit::

I've been watching Slam Dunk. Lovely series. The Ryonan match has lasted me about 1 1/2 weeks now and we're STILL in the last 4 minutes. Great-o!

XD The rest of you - thanks for your positive comments. XD I'm glad that my Yanagi wig has gone over so well, I love it and it's fun to wear. Even though this will disappoint all of you who think I look horribly cute with China doll hair, I'm sorry, I'm keeping my real Toshiya style, boy cut. XD Less hot.

I really wanted to bring Lucas but since i didn't manage to borrow the carrier he shall be left at home. I really really wanted to bring him along even though he sleeps, and sleeps and will forever sleep [until I'm old and rich and can find an Lucas head with open eyes]. It seems like all his photostories are melancholy and sad because all he's really doing is waiting for Chris and it's rather futile to bring him around but I love him muchly. Sei and Tsuki, also could never go individually because I cannot bear to seperate them.
I would bring a suit of clothing for each day we were in HongKong, and he'd be my trendy, sweet little 14 year old Ruka.

On the other hand though, there are the spoils that I hope to get from HongKong -

Vinyl Pants
Pocket Watch
and hopefully an FMA costume HAHAHAHA.

I was telling mainiefied yesterday that I probably will end up not bringing Tsukisou or anyone because I can't finish his costume, but after talking to Sharon of KareKano today and finding out about the millions [alright, three groups and about four or five Ed/Roy cosplayers] of FMA cosplayers, I knew I had to make the arm and I just knew that people - like say Shuui-san - will ask "Where's your Superdollfies?" and I'll be like Um. So - well, I'll rush the SD Roy costume, but no promises.

Went to Spotlight today and got my FMA cloth - I hate buying for humans, it's always such an awful lot. I figure if I actually manage to find an Ed coat in HK I'll get it and use the several meters of red canvas to make many SD Ed coats for sale/Alucard from Hellsing/Vash from Trigun costumes. Heh.

I also got my Ryoma clothes for the casual theme in the next PoT meeting but I look more like a basketballer. Dammit I'm not used to gaki-type clothing. I also found out I hate buying clothes when I waited quite a while to try a stupid sleeveless black top and after a long long while a woman walked out and dumped all her clothes back. What's the point of taking space and time, then? I hate women.

Also, progress on the PoT doujin is okay. I'm slowly weighting all my lines which make my art look a lot better than it really is, and my Yagyuu looks like a girl. I'm also shamelessly adding many eyelashes onto Yanagi's closed eyes but hey, that's me. >DDD I keep wanting to sleeep sleeeep but I cannot! ::sob::

So anyway, I'll be gone for quite a while. Until Monday, I think. Then that flood of costuming, SDs, and cosplay meetings will greet me. Also, homework. Yes. I can't get into IVLE so that's a handy excuse for not handing in my social studies homework.

Oh yes, something I wanted to talk about -

Rikkai Singles - Yanagi and Doubles 1
Yanagi's single is much better than before. Much. It doesn't remind me of Yanagi ONE BIT but it's a nice techno song [I like techno] and it is catchy and has the usual typical but very nice default techno music in it. Not. A thing of Yanagi though. XD;; It sounds more like an anime opening, or something that could be used for Getbackers...

D1 - well, yes it's way too happy and cheery and FRUITY. BUT! BUT! It reminds me SO MUCH of the songs in Good Fellowship, the Drama and Song disc of Franz Heinel and Jackie Guidelhian from Cyber Formula. SO MUCH LIKE IT.
I mean, Yagyuu's voice really sounds like Okiayu's in the beginning, the tune and 60's-ness is so similar, and Niou sounds like Jackie. XD Really freaky. But fun.

Superdollfies - Tangled's Update this week

New Anime
We paid a visit to that bootleg anime shop. XD;;; And ended up buying Cosplay Complex and Hellsing. Now, guys, especially dkellis, you can get Cosplay Complex. It's absolutely bizarre and fanboyish and has MANY HALF NEKKID WOMEN. Thank God I'm bisexual. [Also psst Damien-san there're around two and a half very cute girls with glasses - there's your heads up!]

Talking about bisexuality - yes, I've fallen in Love with Integral of Hellsing. A long time ago I was disappointed that she wasn't male but still thought she was so lovely. Djinn insisted on getting Hellsing [it was 15 bucks for the entire set anyway] and we watched it and bloody hell - I'm such a Alucard x Integral fan. Dammit! Integral is hot! And dammit! Alucard and Integral is wonderful! XDDD Integral is such a cool, lovely woman and her design really APPEALS TO ME [it's the dark skin complex again - I want an SD13 F28 tanskin girl/boy/girlboy *____*]. Alucard is cool too and I love the way he makes himself presentable and doesn't wear his goggle-things and his hat when he's talking to her. &heart; Love! XDDD Ceres is the singular MOST ANNOYING THING about Hellsing. I can't stand her. She sticks out like a sore thumb, her design is SO annoying, her BRIGHT BLUE UNIFORM is SO annoying, she is FAT and UGLY. ::sulk:: I hate her, I hate her I hate her and I looooove Alucard x Integral.

Goodness. Het fangirling. This is a new concept. Also - ::molests Integral madly:: this feels a little different, too.

On New Manga
I've been slowly collecting Petshop of Horrors [perhaps, not so slow Xd;;;] as said before, on book 7 now. Only 3 more to complete it. I wonder what's wrong with D's body - XDDD I've really been enjoying it in an old-style manga sort of way, it's fun and happy and I wonder if he'll get together with his cop boyfriend. XDD

I can't d/l the BT anymore! T__T Could you burn PsoH for me please, Ivory-san? ::snug::

On Cosplay
I'm kind of stressing out over the next meeting. With my tabulations we have 23 members, and 3 members on tentative for the TeniPuri group. I'm sort of unclear on the FMA group - Senaaaa-san/Tashigiiii-san helpppp~!!!

I'll be leaving on the 18th to HongKong and I shall buy wiiiigs. XD around three, I think - one for Edward Elric from FMA, one for Sarutobi Sasuke from SDK, and one for young Yanagi Renji from TeniPuri. I hope I'll be able to get 'em - Bright-san reccomended me that shop so I have great Faith. XD

I don't think I want to hold a group for a popular series anymore. It's a lot of pain and stress. XDDD

Sena-san, Tashigi-san, Nic, and all - you guys don't mind the two meetings being um really close together? XD;;; I'll only be back late next week so the two meetings will be around the same days~~

On Doujinshi
We're contributing to Sakana-san's doujin and I'm not going to sleep tonight but instead stay awake the entire night and do that *()W@$&*(&( Rikkai doujin. With the Switch style inking. I think I'm going to die. Also, my proportions are so terribly out of whack, but I guess nothing can be worse than the previous GGXX doujin contribution. Ewwww. It was terrible.

Djinn's doujin is looking fantastic in pencil so far. Absolutely wonderful. I hope we can get it out soon so I can get back to doing my homework. =____=

I shall stay awake to Ayumi Hamasaki's full collection of MTVs tonight. Yes.

Anyway, here's the first bit of the Street Fest post I was making until I ran off to start the painful and long process of updating Tangled.

When I stepped into 'Faber House Park' and when the d00d made his way to me I think he could see my face.

My face was saying WTF.

From promised Parco Bugis booths it had become, a 1m by 1m table, on sloping ground. The place was tiny, stuffy and hot and as he walked over, my eyes trailed to the table and I slowly raised one eyebrow very very high.

"Er, problems with organisation, we ended up with these tables."

Superdollfies on sloping tables. At least 6 of them to fit onto a 1m square. More WTFness.

Djinn and I sighed and got to work. Put down red cloth, black mesh on the stool, drape organza and put black feathers underneath. Spread black and white chequered cloth on the other side, set up the boys.

Guess who was next to me? ^_^ Of all coincidences it was her from the Watergate Scandal a year or so back. Maybe two. She was selling her I assume boyfriend's prints and a few anime merchandise. I liked her dress.

A China man came along and handled Tsukisou roughly, dragged him down by his calf and I was in horror and I took him from him cautiously. He asked, with a very obvious accent how much he was. I said $1760 but he's NOT for sale. For gods' sake, I don't mind people touching them but dragging them down like that without asking? It was from his posed position and his face might have scratched, or he might have fallen off the table and created a domino effect on Ruka and Seishurou. That was a horrendous start to the Festival.

So Um, you can see how the rest of the DJ Party went by going to Tangled Web! ^__^ I'll pick out the new stuff at Tangled now -

Also, yesterday I went to watch Prisoner of Azkaban, it's a rather stinky movie, so much so that I didn't finish even half of my popcorn. I'll detail this later but what I want to arghhh about most is that my dad came to watch it with us with his girlfriend and I was not at all happy about that. Not. At. All. In fact I kicked his car tyre when I hopped out of the car to go home with Djinn while he went off to HER place again for the night and probably the rest of the fucking week. damned! I should have bit his hand off while I had the chance and blame it on the insane looking d00d in PoA with the beard.

I also realised that, rather romantically whatever is closest to my dream cosplay is from Persona and Cyber Formula. How sad is that? XDD I want to cosplay Nanjo from Persona and either the White Prince version or the racing version of Karl! XD Pathetic, it is true~~

I've picked up Petshop of Horros XD I love Chinese translations, the entire series has been translated and now I'm happily collecting them slowly. Does anyone have anime screenshots of - Alice issit? The rabbit girl in the story 'Daughter'. I want to cosplay her with her fangs and bloodstained teeth and lips to use my white wig. >DDD Tell me if you ever want to cosplay Count D again, Ivory-san! XD

Also, I've found a lovely Japanese wig website. The wigs are spectacularly LOVELY. ::cries:: Cyperous has great wigs and the modalacrylic wigs are ::twitch:: gorgeously affordable!! T__T These are for humans by the way. When I go to Japan I will visit this shop and draw up a list of characters I can cosplay with one wig. The wigs are really really really nice. Lovely. Absolutely.

Also I found a very cute EGL and EGA clothing site with a section for SD! ^__^!! RETICULE has adorable clothes especially in SD size XD I also found Antique beasT which is the human clothing version for the SD site Loyal beasT! XDD SO cute. Nothing in Antique beasT though.

Interesting Events
On last Saturday evening we went to Domuya. After revealing that our dad wasn't in Singapore and we technically didn't really have a curfew Candy and Jacky decided to close shop on time and offered to go eat dinner with them. Um. I was freaking out inside. XDDDDD After telling them that we were going to go Spotlight to buy cloth they were all "Sure let's go to Plaza Singapura!" and we're like "We're - er- walking there" and Candy's all "Let's take a cab there's four of us anyway" and we couldn't dissuade them and after Jacky made a crack about "Your dad dropped by yesterday and told us to babysit you" and stuff like that did we board a taxi with THE DOMUYA PEOPLE and get to Plaza Singapura.

So we ate together at the foodcourt. VERY SURREAL.

Yesterday - it seems like everyone went to Kinokuniya! XD I missed Keax-san and Mainey but I certainly didn't miss Shuui-san, Arilce-san and Scube-san and a few others, I think. Shuui-san came over to say hi and much hi-ness ensued. XDDD It was just fun running into her. I wish I had run into Mainey too. XDDDD

Afternote: On the other hand - HAHAHA I spent centuries downloading the stupid second musical and I haven't dared to watch the stupid thing yet! All I have to say is that I hope Yanagi Kotaro doesn't come back because I actually like the way Kimeru attempts to sound like Ryoma and is altogether a better actor and Ryoma then that flat-chord talentless Yanagi Kotaro [who was probably only hired because he can breakdance and looks young] except when they zoom up on his face. Yeah. Musicals are to be seen several miles away.

Although listening to a Fudo song that ivoryfox sent me makes me want to laugh, and it's not her fault at all. ::giggles uncontrollably::

Another Afternote: I think I shot myself in the foot. Using notebooks are all nice, and transportable and good but the content in my A4 sketchbook is getting kind of iffy. 1st page - Hisui and Sei, two manly men, all nice and good; 2nd page - Naoki with a lock around his neck and many bandages errrr, 3rd page - "Ahhh that girl is so pretty oh wait she is absolutely top nude and she doesn't have a chest Mae?" "er...hehehehe." [That's Tsuki, btw.]; 3rd page - "Oooh so cool he's got bat wings and - and is that a whip?" "Umm....."

I think the worst thing is that the last two are going to be on my website and LJ. HAHAHAHA. XDDDDD My nothing is ever childsafe anymore.

Manga and Art
I forgot to post about this sometime. XD;;;

I saw the 5th book in Kino, I loved the art and spazzed out over the bishie with glasses. XD;;; I'm talking about a manga called Switch, done by a group of people called 'Naked Ape'. XD;

I didn't buy it because it was about $5 more expensive than the other Japanese books like Mr. Fullswing and TeniPuri and that's a lot expensive.

But when I went to Liang Court and there was that 20% off, I decided to grab Switch 5 >D Djinn couldn't stop meh!

I found that there was a cute little bespectacled bitchy boy in it who was one of the two main characters. ::dies:: I like the guy on the 5th cover though, he has longer hair and is older. ^___^ The littler very annoyed boy is called Haru, the other main character is called Kai. <3

I think problem is, it was so darned cool, and I really wanted to know what EXACTLY was going on. XD;; The next time I went to Taka, I grabbed the 1st volume and prompty could not afford anything else. XD;;;;

Now I've about figured out that Switch is about drug trafficking, the two mains are drug officers and they were hired since young.

I think that's about it. I need to get more of it. And bother to read it properly. ::facepalms::

However, the art is beautiful! I would say though, beautiful in the very gritty doujin sort of way. >D You can see the Switch art at their official site. I like the manga art very very much as well - perhaps even better than the coloured ones? XD;;;

I have to say though, for a series which seems supposedly UNgay it is VERY gay. >DDD Look at this :

Then again, there're pictures of them in the same bathtub [clothed, regretfully] and much hugging. Forget it. They are gay.

I recently drew a picture of my maths teacher for her birthday. patchx says it looks like a Singtel advertisement and she's right. XD;;;;;;; You can replace that "Happy Birthday" with "Free rates for incoming calls!" or something like that. XD In a way that makes me happy. Flat colouring also makes me happy because I'm lazy. >D

Here it be - get a look at it quick, I'll kill it off after a while because you can identify her and see her name ::gasp:: and that might kill off my anonymity of which crappy school I'm from on my LJ. Then I'll get demerit points for swearing on my own personal Internet space. Oh, and discussing homosexuality.

Djinn says that the way I did that pic reminds her of Switch, the very doujin style. I was in much happiness and along with Kyoko Negishi I decided to adopt Nakamura Tomomi into the style-developing equation. I really like the inking for Switch and I think if I can develop a style that looks like that, with that kind of air I'd die of happiness. :D

It makes me happy that Djinn and my art is going in such different directions. From young I never wanted my art style to be similar to Djinn's even though she was and still is my goddess and my idol ♥ [I love her style and skill and her art's beauty like the blazes] and after a while of screwing up I think I'm going in the right direction. :) Except for my proportions and things but that's an entirely different matter XDDDD ::stabs self in head::

Growing Up
I know some people, like Karen are already fifteen and I believe about half - er, perhaps 3/4 of my friends list consist of people who are older than me, but as much as you would all like to kill me, I fear turning fifteen.

I'm moving out of the cute range. I'm seriously moving out of the cute range. Cosplay is such a big thing in my life [if ten thousand cons weren't cancelled hahahahafuckit] and for years, for 4 years I've been used to being one of the youngest cosplayers ever. I enjoy being so young. I enjoy people finding out that I'm so young. But I'm not any more. Two years ago I passed the official child age - 12 - and I can only convince restaurants and hairdressers that I'm one year younger than I really am and not two. Now I'm a what - teenager! In two years I'll be a young adult. I fear that. Somehow I don't really want my birthday to come, I don't want to grow up, and you just know that a 17 year old say - er - Ryoma Echizen/Kurosaki Hisoka/etc is just not as cute as a 14 year old Ryoma Echizen/Kurosaki Hisoka.

I love surprising people on how I'm 14 and I have a Superdollfie, and that I cosplay. That I draw like I do at my age [this is at the risk of sounding egotistical]. Soon I'm going to be 15 and I'm going to be in the middle stage of being a young teenager into a young adult. 15 just doesn't sound as cute as 14. I'm not going to be young, cute and short anymore. After a while, I'm just going to be short. Then I'll be like Kimeru.

YAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Maybe not that bad. ::scribbles::

Then I'll be like Kimeru. NAI. NAI NAI NAI.

It's quite honestly depressing. I won't be able to gloat about being so young and cute anymore. Then I'll be like the vast majority of 16 and 17 year old cosplayers
in Singapore. ::buries head in hands::

But sometimes I wish I was old enough. Not to drink alcohol - which I already do [I convince Djinn to help me buy cheap b00z with her IC], or to have sex [which I'm not going to do until I'm married, yes, I'm no fun]. To do general things like - like organise stuff? Be old enough to - to have time to work, maybe, to earn money. I don't know. I know there're things that I just can't think of now.

It's quite a depressing dilemma. Do I want to grow old, or do I not? I think the cons outweigh the pros because I've stopped growing. [and as much as being 151 - exactly Ryouma's height - is nice....it's only a temporary ecstacy.]

on the other hand, if you want to know [or not] my birthday is on the 16th of May [hinthinthinthint]. Many people have the misconception I'm named after the month. You're wrong. My Chinese name is Yan(4) Jun(1) and since my parents called my sister Ah Jun (which sounds vaguely like Ah Jean in chinese) I was then called Ah Mei [Since mei mei means little sister; it's rather hard to translate] and thus was uninspiringly named May in English. It's simply a coincidence that my birthday is in May.

Ah, the children of Chinese educated parents. :3
