Anyway, my birthday. So full of win-type wonderful. I stayed up with silencestation who was obsessively finishing up my gifts that I had berated her the upteenth time not to kill herself over [though a good part of it was me selfish fault, since she asked 'option A or B' and I said 'gosh I can't make up my mind, both? 8DDDD'], to finish this up:

Until Djinn was completely out of it and done, so after rudimentary breakfast off to bed until a few hours later. Got up just in time to have the Dad pop by with deliriously $12 cake, that has a strangely long and complicated story of Djinn not revealing what's on it until the day of my birthday itself. Long story short, I had no idea what was on it, and Djinn was being self-derogatory as per usual so I don't trust a fucking word she says.



So lovely and adorable it's mad.. I spent probably 15 straight minutes bashing Djinn's head in until she stopped complaining about it so I'm just reiterating the long-short here.

Past that it was just a lot of cooking, as far as I could remember: brining, soaking, washing, de-scaling, etc… And then it was dinner. The light over the dining table had blown, so the Dad moved the table outwards towards the lit area of the living room – a little off the area of the telly, where Man U was playing Arsenal at home at 7.40pm. I was craning my head over as I poured the sparkling juice, because of my now not-so-recent revelations that I am alcohol-intolerant…

After dinner the dad dutifully washed up, while - get this, Djinn and I sat there in front of the telly gaping while Man U boringly inched closer to wrapping up the English Premier League title. My dad passed by, sat down, got bored and went away. He came back a while later, looked over, clucked his tongue about how the match must suck because there no goals at all [we conclusively agreed, though still not peeling our eyes from the screen] and then went to play with the cat. He was kind enough to agree to cake-time after the match. In the meantime, we went crazy over the crappy footage, and my dad went downstairs to buy a newspaper and retrieve the mail [I got three postcards: GB-75134, PT-82389 and NL-164079! Got a bunny one the day before, too.]

On another note, my presents were a little complicated on the Djinn side – largely that she couldn't give 'em to me in front of the Dad [no, not like that] so when we went to pick up the Transformers Encore Big Cassette Mission Set 1 we also delightedly picked up a nice discounted bundle of TFA Blurr and Swindle [I paid for the Mission Set and she paid for the TFA] so the TFA made it as her present to me in front of the Dad.

So I did wish for something as retarded as the last one I wished for, which essentially means it will not come true. The spoils of the day were awesome, at least:

I'm going to have a time-warp interval a bit in the future just to mention that catatonic_cats is some kind of weirdo who has this totally unwarranted affection for my handsome self and was rebellious enough to send me not only all the blank ACEO cards I told her not to, but also sent me some lovely paint/tea/ink-stained ones, and it all came with this box with pretty dangling things.

Back to the 16th now. When the Dad went away full and satisfied and cheery about 12 dollar cake [he made off with almost 1/2 of it] Djinn and I kinda digested for a while and then proceeded on to get to Djinn's Real Gifts^TM.

Her real gifts were, and are, her gift of writing. ::dodges some wailing and unhappy swipes:: You will not remember that last year, she filled up a bunch of flash cards that one of my weirdest friends arrrghigiveup gave me with gay haiku. When we toddled about in Liang Court's Kinokuniya a few days before my birthday, we sighted them and she asked, "would you like haikus of Option A or Option B?" and I was like "man, I dunno…both? 8D" [::shifty eyed rephrasal::] Well, she took me seriously and she regretted it [recap top of entry anecdote].



4 different pen colours. Three days of writing. Two fandoms/pairings. A night of penning. 75+129=204 haikus.
That's what's in these things. And they both moved me to tears.

I don't cry. I particularly do not cry over writing. In fact, I am hardly impressed by writing. I avoid fanfiction and most sorts of 'serious writing' posted online because more often than not I sit down, read and start feeling so embarrassed for the writer that I can't focus on reading the words anymore. Often I rarely feel. I did not feel particularly sad when I read both of these [well, technically all of these]. But out of nowhere – I wept at the end. [Just like the last one…Do I see a trend here? Moving Haikus^TM?] Very strange! But here, I can't resist some excerpts even though you won't know what's going on anyway:

Wow, it was really hard not to put everything there! They all fit into a Meiji Meltykiss box, which we bought on the same day we bought the flash cards.

So! That really about concludes it, I really could not think of anything better. It was pretty much bestest day ever, again. You know what, I really don't know what I've done to deserve this. Do I just inexplicably have some kind of weird good karma magnet or something? silencestation is just the most brilliant person in the world to me and I have her waiting me hand and foot [well, not really, but she's liek my artsy bitch or something]. Then I have so many of you out there who are just so strangely nice to me, nice beyond words, so…so awesome to me. I don't get it! But thank you so tremendously much! There are no words to describe, like I said, only lots of flailing and adoration.

A few days later we went to the Bird Park to test my lens [under the staunch insistence of my dad, too] so you can expect some spam coming from that sometime soon. But really, everybody, thank you.

The 16th of May was some kind of fucking awesome! Why:
- Loads of sweethearts wishing me happy birthday. Couldn't stop grinning.
- Did not struggle with a long restaurant queue [with potentially crappy food and huge bill] - instead helping out to cook and later devour a bunch of seafood. Mrrrr scallops.
- Cake was literally half discounted because I wrote them a long, disappointed complaint letter for the terrible way they did silencestation's cake. Slightly more upscale chocolate tiramisu cake with custom top graphic at $12 is no joke. 8D
- Man U put the BPL title battle to rest.
- Gifts other than Djinn's were deliriously practical!
- Finished up some cool lineart experimentation.
- Three freaking postcards arrived on that very day, and a super-cute one the day before!

Only downside:
- Damn, twenty already!

Upside to only downside:
- Everyone who've known me [that's quite a few of you!] since my early teenage days on my flist go "Oh my god twenty already?!?!?!"

Late and I do apologise - the immense amounts of fun I had on my birthday completely knocked me out, and I had not yet recovered well enough to be properly delirious about it. So please allow me to belatedly thank:

As the sinking feeling settles in both Djinn and my minds, Mainey squeals in deep and genuine surprise. "Oh!" She says. "It's you!"

Just a small note that might explain why I'm so sporadically present and silencestation is completely dead to the world: man, our Internet is really temperamental right now, and PMSy mostly. There are times when I can push it and jog pages to attempt to check my mail, and rarer moments when I can actually post anything, like entries/comments [like the Postcrossing one before and now]. Djinn is currently rendered comatose because her IV drip hooked up to the Intarnet is failing - well, okay, actually it's not just the Internet, she's sick as a dog right now [but not medically comatose, I'm sorry if I made you worry there].

Finally! My birthday post. XD; This is the birthday which had more fuss made out of it than ever before in school, and the only birthday so far where I've gotten three cakes. XD;;;

I actually had a commercialised birthday dinner before my birthday, but it was also the Mother's Day period, so you can imagine there were a ton of people. This also meant we got Mother's Day menus, which kind of sucks. XD; But oh well.

For the actual night, 16th of May, the very first person to wish me a happy birthday, was of course Djinn, who waited 'till midnight and claimed first once again. XD The second, technically was Scrunge, who had sent over a birthday picture along with beef jerky [don't ask XD] for my birthday, and Djinn took it out and gave it to me.

It's two girls who are adorable beyond words, and I've already told her how much I like it and its flying books, so you guys should have a look! It's really sweet and cute, and I love seeing Scrunge's art in person, it has so much more than a scan can convey.

The other thing that Scrunge did which was also right on time was sponsor me more of paid time, increasing my icon count to a whopping 40~! XDDDDD I swear I'm going to fill it with more fun icons! Thanks Scrunge~!

Fox accosted me at once on MSN, and gave me this sexay thang. Aaaa~! ALBA! XD I still maintain that Fox has the best night-time/purplish colouring I've ever seen, and I love it with Alba's juicy lips and all. ::squee:: Thank you so much Fox!

The depressing thing about my birthday though, was the fact that I had two tests on it, so actually I spent the night studying for History and Math. So nothing happened until the morning -

- whereupon I went to school, and my classmates were cheerily wishing me a Happy Birthday! as I went down the lineup. I'll skip to early break-time, which was the hour-long break of the day, and where most of the things happened.

And so I proceeded on to eat it as the crowd cleared. Thanks for taking this photo, Jason!

So skipping all the test shiz XD;;;; and skipping PE which made me homocidal with running 8 rounds, I finally got back home and collected my pretty birthday cake on the way! Djinn rushed out the birthday cake picture for me, which we brought to Sweet Secrets and had a big fiasco about the size of the picture and so forth - whereupon later I sent a complaint letter in the email with the original graphic --- it just so happened when we went to collect my cake [my dad and me, that is], they'd replaced the problem employee with a very courteous, nice member of staff.

Mae, getting people fired since she got that McDonalds delivery guy taken off the task force for bad customer service.



Taken once I got home, and burst into the kitchen where Djinn was slicing mushrooms. "Djinn! Djinn!" I squealed. "Look! It turned out! I knew that *censored* was wrong! It looks great!" About as great as it can get on a cake, trust me. Here's the original graphic - Djinn did it fantastically, I love it. XD It's so dorky! yes, these two are the Meira brothers from KoF: Maximum Impact. But they're less dorky than last year's Static Shock cake... XDDDD

Oh, and I can't forget to mention this one thing - Far Cry sent me a video, wishing me happy birthday. I can't upload it, but I would've if I could. XDD It consists of Far Cry and Scrunge in Houston, with the dolls standing in a group pose in the background, telling me lots of cool dorky happy birthday stuff, and I just had this crazy wide grin when I was watching it. And Scrunge was sneaky enough to lie to me that they weren't meeting up! You two - ! Thanks lots, I loved it. It was awesome. XD

And of course - I love Djinn most. [Sorry everyone. XD;;;] She always, and I mean always tops everyone. She makes SURE she tops everyone. She plans from the day my birthday ends to my next birthday. And the worst/best thing is, I never expect anything from her. I never want anything from her. But she always gives and gives and gives, because she loves me. And I know that.

There's no one better to be stuck with, day in day out, even when my dad leaves the house at the end of the day.
Well, okay, I'm not just saying all this because she drew me um gay pr0n again this year. That'll be chronicled in another post.

I can't not mention this - Thanks Everyone, for wishing me a happy birthday, making my 16th of May all special once again this year. Okay, porn's over. I am teh lucky. I know I am, and I'm not denying it! I'm not denying that my dad really loves me, and that he must have a reason for giving me so much joy, and I'm not denying I'm probably the luckiest younger sister in the world, because Djinn loves me soooo much, and does not believe in censorship though she's more of a prude than I am. This was very much my best birthday ever, and the best day of my life, and also, I passed my physics, ignoring the fact that it's been the easiest midyear of my school yet. But as always - today has been the most wonderful day of my life, despite having that biology test tomorrow [the Physics, interestingly, did not turn out too bad XD]. I really want to talk about my day, about what happened, and all - but I have not the time, I haven't finished studying. XD;

But you all made turning 16 much more bearable, even enjoyable - thank you all so much.

I want to and I WILL thank you all personally in my next post, and put a detailed report of my birthday, and I'm not afraid to say that I realised that so many people like me and love me so much - I'm blessed, and I'm really happy for that.

Darling Djinn, as always, has gone all out to make my 16th birthday absolutely wonderful, and this time added to her highly advanced plotting is the absolutely insane scrunge - I have so much to say to you, I wish I could see you online.

I have gifts of pictures - tashigi, bittenbefore and the whole bunch at Mistula and Fully Articulated gave me a special Mistula style birthday song - thank you Joey, Rey, Uno, Manx, Veritas and Lugosi - that made me really want to die. XDDD

Of course I'm eternally greatful and thankful to everyone who wished me happy birthday today, and made today such a heartwarming experience. Thank you all so much - I said I wanted to thank you all personally, and I assure you I WILL. XDD These are the very barest of my comments!

Thank you again, all so much. Now Mae has turned 16 on the 16th of May 2005, and she can safely say that this is her happiest birthday ever. Superdollfies have brought me so many invaluable friends, and old friends have proved that they're not losing out - ::grins at Scrunge:: - and Djinn, I love you. Thank you so much for always making my birthday the happiest days of my life. I always wonder how you do it, but you always manage to top it year after year.

And now. Er, Bio. Bio bio bio. So dead. I'm so dead. XD;

Very excited about my birthday approaching though I've been in severe paranoia about my aging - XDD - and even though nothing really much is happening on it - what is, however, going to happen makes me quite happy enough. Tomorrow my dad is bringing us out for a happy dinner [he suggested bringing his girlfriend, I gave a grave "haha" and Djinn said "Don't push it"] and on the 16th I'll have a little birthday cakie at home at night. :D Djinn says she'll attempt to cook for me and I await the experience! Except she isn't good with turning on the stove and I'll be sitting in the kitchen with my biology text and she'll probably be running around in the background in panic. XDD Nevertheless.

I severely wish the 16th wasn't the date of my Physics exam, boohoo. It shall be busy ruining my day and the biology test the next day will be ruining my night. I'm quite alright with my midterms so far but I think the streak will end on Monday.

Random facts about Mae's birthday this year, the 16th of May 2005:

Interesting Events
On last Saturday evening we went to Domuya. After revealing that our dad wasn't in Singapore and we technically didn't really have a curfew Candy and Jacky decided to close shop on time and offered to go eat dinner with them. Um. I was freaking out inside. XDDDDD After telling them that we were going to go Spotlight to buy cloth they were all "Sure let's go to Plaza Singapura!" and we're like "We're - er- walking there" and Candy's all "Let's take a cab there's four of us anyway" and we couldn't dissuade them and after Jacky made a crack about "Your dad dropped by yesterday and told us to babysit you" and stuff like that did we board a taxi with THE DOMUYA PEOPLE and get to Plaza Singapura.

So we ate together at the foodcourt. VERY SURREAL.

Yesterday - it seems like everyone went to Kinokuniya! XD I missed Keax-san and Mainey but I certainly didn't miss Shuui-san, Arilce-san and Scube-san and a few others, I think. Shuui-san came over to say hi and much hi-ness ensued. XDDD It was just fun running into her. I wish I had run into Mainey too. XDDDD

Afternote: On the other hand - HAHAHA I spent centuries downloading the stupid second musical and I haven't dared to watch the stupid thing yet! All I have to say is that I hope Yanagi Kotaro doesn't come back because I actually like the way Kimeru attempts to sound like Ryoma and is altogether a better actor and Ryoma then that flat-chord talentless Yanagi Kotaro [who was probably only hired because he can breakdance and looks young] except when they zoom up on his face. Yeah. Musicals are to be seen several miles away.

Although listening to a Fudo song that ivoryfox sent me makes me want to laugh, and it's not her fault at all. ::giggles uncontrollably::

Another Afternote: I think I shot myself in the foot. Using notebooks are all nice, and transportable and good but the content in my A4 sketchbook is getting kind of iffy. 1st page - Hisui and Sei, two manly men, all nice and good; 2nd page - Naoki with a lock around his neck and many bandages errrr, 3rd page - "Ahhh that girl is so pretty oh wait she is absolutely top nude and she doesn't have a chest Mae?" "er...hehehehe." [That's Tsuki, btw.]; 3rd page - "Oooh so cool he's got bat wings and - and is that a whip?" "Umm....."

I think the worst thing is that the last two are going to be on my website and LJ. HAHAHAHA. XDDDDD My nothing is ever childsafe anymore.

My beloved Djinn wished me happy birthday and hugged me muchly when it hit midnight this morning, when I was busy sitting down and cutting organza ::laugh:: The first thing I was doing on my birthday was sewing clothes! >__< I'm going to be sewing for Seisei and Tsuki and Ruka for the rest of my damned life! XDD [As if, there was any doubt. XDDDD] I started on the summer dress but it turned out a flop - sort of a flop - I need to pleat skirts more and stuff. Currently it looks rather aristocratic, so that's not so bad. I'll make a frock as well and then Tsuki and Ruka can be all faerie-queenish and princessish together. XDDD It was my first time doing a dress. I don't think it's going to be my last. ::facepalm::

Djinn said she was on a horrendous art block and couldn't draw anything. I reassured her millions of times that if she doesn't give me anything this year, it's okay, I'm perfectly fine with it and I'll love her all the same but she got very upset about things. She sat down while I was at the sewing machine at 2am and started to draw while I cursed at organza and dresses.

Around 4 am we were both finished [only partially on the dress, actually, I have to make a shawl] and we decided to go to bed. She came over to me and plopped herself on the bed, and gave me a clear folder - with paper in it. XD So she told me to turn it over, and I saw this -

well. Oh my goodness. ::nosebleeds to death:: hjewhcmalerw.
[Much Kabuto from Naruto hotness. Important bits are exposed so people who have their parents wandering around in your room/are allergic to seeing male bits don't click. Your loss. XD I think it's rather big sized for pr0n too because the detail is amazing XDD So I didn't really want to size it down. XDDDDDD]

I think, you all understand why I was busy spazzing out, and spazzing out, and spazzing out a whole lot more. XD;;; OMG I AM SUCH A PERV BUT IT ESH SO BEAUTIFUL XD And soooo hot. And 53x and all. XDDD It made me, very very happy.

And rather densely, I didn't realise the significance of more than ONE piece of paper in the folder and she murmured something about hiding true works of art under a cover and I freaked out and I couldn't get the paper to take a look at her true birthday gift! XDDDD <-- pathetic

So she took it out for me and it just took my breath away.

Ushio + Hebigami
[Child-safe, a MUST-SEE because it's just so fucking beautiful. I think this one is huger than the previous but ish GORGEOUS T__T]

It's so lovely. It's so beautiful - she spent all her nights and mornings when I was sleeping and in school to finish this and ended up with a lot of sleep deprivation. XDDD;; I don't know what to say about it and its prettyness but I can't describe how happy and how in awe I felt when I saw this. Ushio looks so sad - Hebi so compellingly beautiful and distant, the technicality level of her pencilwork, her bodies and their grace, the weighted lines and the touchable curves [which! also shows up in the Kabu picture if you know what I mean ::giggle::] and the fecking amount of details in her folds, hair, and everything. The spacing of the drawing,
the words. Everything is so lovely I could cry. [And I did. XD NOT on it, certainly!]

After much of snuggling her and worshipping we we went to bed. ^__^

After cutting the cake - Djinn told me to open the parcel containing our two ponies. I opened it and - well! The ponies were customised.

No, no they were NEW ponies customised! I was in all awe and amazement - Djinn and I had designed our own MLP - Fireflight [mine] and Silent Quill [Djinn] and OMFG Djinn had, bought Bumblesweet and Starbeam and customised them perfectly into the exact images of our designed Fireflight and Silent Quill [spare for that one eye Djinn said she didn't have time to paint over and was for the illusion of them being not-customised from the side and beside the fact that Fireflight and SilentQuill are pegasus and unicorn - I'll fix that myself!] and she remembered the symbol I designed better than I did. T__T They are such lovely ponies. Look at them, just look at them! <3


They're so horrendously cute. And perfect. Djinn makes a great pony customiser. The symbols and eyes look so pro! XDDDD Fireflight on the left, Silent Quill on the right.

This is the bit which was totally surreal. I've been lusting over a Lucas 1st Edition [the schoolboy one] outfit which Domuya had because of a misunderstanding for sale, but it had always been so horrendously expensive. I was tempted to use the voucher that we had from winning the V-Day competition for it but I felt bad and decided to hold back. [For those of you who're not sure what's going on, you know our Sweet Dreams - sleeping - Superdollfie Lucas? He is the 4th edition of a limited doll Lucas. I really wanted the 1st edition's uniform which Chris is also wearing.]

Two days ago, when I went to Domuya, I asked about the Lucas schoolboy outfit. Candy said "Oh! Sorry, some one bought it already" and my heart broke. I was really thinking of actually spending all the money on it to get it for Lucas - and now it was gone. It wasn't just the re-making it for the event on the 6th of June, it was the fact that it was sort of sad to make a pirated version of something I was so close to, which belonged to an original Lucas, an awake Lucas. [If you've read Ruka's profile - this is referring to our Lucas - he is basically the catatonic version of the character Lucas who is a schoolboy.] I was very very miserable and upset, and I kept thinking and thinking about it. I really really wanted that outfit and I was so upset that someone else had gotten it when I finally decided to get it.

Today after the ponies, she handed me a sweet-like wrapped present. It was soft. For some strange reason I felt like it was a TeniPuri towel - which would have terrified the hell out of me because the only towels are Seigaku ones ::dies:: And you all saw this coming, for when I pulled a rolled-up thing covered in a gauze paper with hearts I died inside.

Dangit! Djinn had schemed and schemed and conned me once more! >___< That morning when she said that my dad dragged her to a bank, what they really did was to run over to Forum, buy Bumblesweet and Starbeam then over to Domuya to get the Lucas outfit and told Jacky and Candy to lie about it if I asked. XDDD;;;

I put it on Ruka. He looked so much like our stern, grim Lucas [as you would know from his profile if you read it]. Just eyes closed, and slightly smiling.


Full shot, the outfit is much harder than it seems. But nothing can stop me now that I have the original. ::mad happy T__Tness::

Today is the first day of my so-called 'birthday weekend'. I had fun. The warm, fluffy happy sort of fun.

We went over to Arab Street - whereupon Djinn growled about how darned hot it is and threatened me with certain death if we didn't find any cloth I wanted. We didn't. Arab Street is a cloth place with all their cloth being a very Malay flair - well, doh - and I have nothing against Malays but I'm not fond of that. Their fur was pretty limited and all there was was organza. And brocade, which I'm not sure about the cost. Nothing the boys would wear, so I went off to buy gloves for Edward Elric and we went off. [I therefore skip the part with the Mascot shop because that's not exciting. Although I thought the Arial and - whassisname - as muppets in a boat was horrendously funny and cuter than they were in the movie.]

Gave up and went over to KareKano where they were having another Haragen no Oujisama stock [sort of a merchandise event with FMA and PoT merchandise] and I was terrified out of my wits when I saw Pudding Neko wave hi at me. I think ashamedly I can't remember who was with her and I didn't recognise her. >___< Past that I saw the TeniPuri folks pour in - JiaeR, Karuqin, Hiroyuki - the works, and they excitedly waved hi whereupon I waved hi back rather sheepishly. XD;;; Djinn promptly wandered away and we went off for lunch because there were altogether too many people in KareKano. After lunch it was terrible, I wasted half of my life standing in queue for a miserable TeniPuri notepad [only desired because of that Oshitari chibi squishing a big ball] and a Hyotei keychain because of Oshitari standing next to Atobe and partially because of Hiyoshi's presence. HAHAHA. XD;; I'm putting that on my bag but I'm going to replace Atobe's face on the main metallic part of the keychain with Oshitari's. >DDD

After losing half of my life we went to Bugis Junction and did pretty much nothing but blow money in A'nBC buying Microns because we were all running out of ink. Djinn bought wrapping paper even though she says she has nothing for me and told me she'll wrap up two of our ponies - random ones to give me a surprise. Suprise suprise! ::♥ Djinn:: XDDD I liked that wrapping paper anyway, it was cute. It has dice on it saying "I'll quit gambling...soon." XD

After that we walked all the way over to Spotlight where we blew a lot of money on cloth and trimmings. I have gotten the cloth for Tsukisou's Roy costume - it's darker than usual but was better than the violet available. XD;; We also got nice cloth for the boys' bathrobes which will be done later. XD My yesterday-current project, called Toxic [you can imagine how it looks like] is too painful in all its vinyl ruffles and nylon base glory and I'll stop work on it for a while. I'll be doing a summer dress tonight instead, because it's 10x easier. XDDD I want something that won't cause my needle to bend like yesterday, and the last two times.

I bought my black fur too! ^__^ So happy.

Other than that we ate at Snoopy's Place and I enjoyed the food and nostalgia it provided. I remember when I ate at that very expensive place with my mother. It had nice food.

I am aware this is highly boring and I'll try not to detail my days in the future. Please excuse me for tomorrow; my birthday weekend is only half over. XDD

Tomorrow's my birthday! ^__^ I look forward to it. Tangled should be updated soon, as well. This is one of my only free weekends - relatively, I've got homework - and I'm glad about that.
