The gits managed to stand [and stay still, though that's not too hard for them] for an estimated two hours, which is pretty impressive - particularly since the superghetto set-up was threatening to fall onto them and I think I ran them through 5 points of exposure, 6 white balance settings and three cont/sharp/sat settings [I guess that's why it took two hours, ahahaha].

Anyway, Yanagi's head is appley and edible-like.

Obviously I can never leave a good thing alone [wait for full effect].

Football and country-ist slurs... )
__________________________

On the other hand, I've been happy with sewing progress these few weeks [*note: I only do this in my free, and I mean free time]. Out of the three things I've gotten done two of them are articles of clothing new to me, like an actual formal shirt with proper collar and cuffs and little button-holes for the new one coming along in a too-far future. TAT

The other one, the one I just finished, is a hoodie. [Okay, technically the only addition is a hood, but it has a pocket and it's a new jacket pattern.] This one is for Chai.

You might recognise the crest on his pocket, or wonder what the hey 'CFC' is supposed to mean. It stands for Chelsea Football Club, and is one of, if not the only, failing flaws of our sweet, computer studies student Chaitanya. Chai is a rabid Chelsea fan, a trait passed on from his dad who is a rabid Chelsea fan, so insane that all of his children, all 13 of them, have names starting with 'Ch' - for example, Chaitanya, his twin sister Chakori, and his rebellious [Arsenal fan] younger brother Chain. Chai would be such a pleasant boy without his fanatic adoration of the club. As it is, Sei [Man U fan] and him make the weekend very unhappy. "Chelsea won! Watch your back, United!" "We're thrashing 'Spurs, so you can forget your Premiership!" "HOW DARE YOU" "WE'LL KICK YOUR SORRY BLUE ASS" "RED GEEZERS" "WHO SAID YOU CAN'T WIN THE CUP WITH GEEZERS?!" etc.

I had quite a time with the iron-on for some unfathomable reason and had to scrape and trash a few. But it worked out anyway, and looking at the crest makes me laugh at him mercilessly. Also, Djinn thought he might look a bit odd with a hoodie because of his huge noggin but I like to think it's pretty decent. :D He's wearing it over his England shirt at the moment.

To pack and to sleep. I'm stupid and I twisted my left ankle badly again, after the cross-country. $*#($()@(*$(#

The very first update in the monster in which you know as Tangled Web was this :

"23rd December 2003 5.33am
The site is finally finished. X_x Not as contentfull as we would like, but it'll have to do for now..."

This means that Tangled Web is now approximately 3 years old. Approximating everything because I'm far too lazy :

1. Kinjyou Seishurou and Suiya Tsukisou are 3 years old. [Old men!] These two arrived during our Europe vacation, and the first pictures we saw of them were in a Virgin Record Store's web access area. Sei's first pictures made me cry. [Not of joy.] But when we opened their boxes, I couldn't recognise him.

2. Ruka is also 3 years old, chronologically arrived before the two old men. He was the first Sweet Dreams Lucas we saw when the limiteds arrived in Domuya and we helped to unpack, and he ended up ours despite the fact that we asked to see both of them to pick.

3. Sanada Mikado and Yanagi Mikoto are 2 years old. [Oh my god!!] Also ordered together at the same time, Sato babies, the F08 had just been released without any official pictures except for small, blurry web-camisque ones. We were also told, a little earlier that there would "Never be MSD FCS!" HAHAHAHAHAHA.

4. Lin Si Ye is 2 years old. We got him despite being late from a typhoon from Dolpa 13 by a Volks miracle.

5. Small Yanagi Ren is nearly 2 years old, the first UFK of AngelRegion. We were worried they'd never have it again. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

6. Chaitanya is 1 year old, Djinn's 21st birthday present greatly assisted by Cassiel [thank you!] and loads of lovely people who donated to the cause - our first sunlight and our first SD boy.

7. Teaberry/Wintergreen is 8 months old and was the first doll off YJA [thanks to Evildolly] we have. Djinn was pining and pining and moaning and pining and I told her, if there is a Kasumi with the 02 Wings that you want, we'll get her and lose all our money. GUESS WHAT?

8. Big Rennes Yanagi['s head - the girl you guys asked about here] is 2 months old, off a Tsukasa Konoe with a Link SD13 body and a SDKen box. A BIN matter off YJA with help from Evildolly once again. Finally, our little Ren grows up. I've been waiting for this.

The total count right now is 10 dolls, of soon which to be 9 dolls, and of soon which to be 10 dolls again. Perhaps in an interval it will be 11 dolls. And the most creepy thing, is that about half of our doll list is fulfilled. But I'm sure we can drag it out till we're 50, since the rest are a lot harder and BOY do we have a lot of stories to catch up on. Also, most of the rest are FCS, so NO MORE UNPLEASANT SURPRISES. [Like the next one.]

In any case, re: the 'not as contentfull' - HAHAHAHAHAHA STFU DJINN AND I, STFU. The current count stands at :

1. 78 photostories [not including roleplay/gathering/cosplay/travelogue photostories] up, 11 mini events.
2. 35 travelogue photostories
3. 2 'movies'
4. 59 photoshoots, 14 songshoots
5. 5 cosplays - Guilty Gear X, Prince of Tennis, Loveless, Alichino, xxxholic

36580 hits as of today, a generous estimate taking off my own visits.

What's this all about? This is me having put off doing this stat count for a couple of years, and to say that officially, yes, we will be renewing Tangled Web. To be - WHITE. and CLEAN. And NOT JAVA-SCRIPT LOGGED. and SEMI-UPDATED. Also, to acknowledge all the dolls we have, how long they've been with us [we never do the birthday thing, we always forget XD;] and that we have too many dolls to do this individually anyway. WE'RE SCREWED because we have too much stuff to do and plus the internet on the computer with all the Tangled stuff is down, so we can't even do our last update on the old layout. Gah. [HOMEWORK WHAT HOMEWORK FUCKING HISTORY ESSAY THAT THE TEACHER SAYS YOU READ THE QUESTION WRONG SUCKERS NYAH WHAT FUCKING HISTORY ESSAY.]

Also, thanks for actually caring about our dolls, what we do with them for all these years, and if it hasn't been all these years, however long you've been with us. It is constantly and adoringly appreciated, and if you haven’t already, do make yourself known to us sometime so we can thank you properly. XD

In any case, happy 3rd belated birthday, Tangled Web. And Merry Christmas and all other holidays to everyone, I hope you have lots of fun despite the fact that a lot of you seem to be a bit down this holiday season. Despite what it could’ve been, it seems this Christmas may not be so bad for us this year.

Everything is calm today.
Djinn and I are evading work and Azri is back in the house, sleeping on the homework and smelling a bit like flea powder.

As soon as I met it I liked it right away! You hate it compared to how much I like it!

It = Anderson Junior College.

I have never been so happy to be in a school before. Seriously. I am so glad the appeal went through [thanks Djinn dear ::tight hug:: for all the support and everything] and that now I'm in AJ for the rest of my two years.

How I know I really like AJC:
- Finale ends before 5pm
- Main dance is - oh miracles of miracles! - N'Sync's It's Gonna Be Me [this is very RARE. VERY RARE. Songs that sound like they're from Grease are usually chosen with the accompanying disco mass-dance moves.]
- Which is actually pretty well-choreographed
- Main dance is topped off with a 2x speeded up version of It's Gonna Be Me
- People actually bother to even mouth along the national anthem

Joy. [Especially since I managed to miss the rest of orientation. XD]

I can't wait for classes to start. Goodness knows I've never been good with orientation [that's why I have a pasty skin colour - aaaaaaaa my forearms are toasted!] and lectures make me happier.

I realised that I did, indeed prefer Yishun and definitely Anderson to Catholic. I find it easiest to explain in terms of shopping malls. Yishun and Anderson are like little neighbourhood shopping malls, not very exciting but has all the essential goods you'll need and hey, at least it's a shopping mall. Catholic reminds me of Far East Plaza, a place which scares me with its pools of teenagers in a place packed full of flashy clothing, now gothicized because of trends and full of teenage revolutionalized ideas.

Fine! I don't possess a life! - Well I do, it just so happens not to revolve around my schoolmates. I'm a freak!

So anyhow, now I'm in my happy place [KI research topic : Socrates! JOY JOY JOY], thanks for all your well-wishes and good luck, my school sitch is stable now, we found a place to stay, the only headache at the moment is really packing. But we'll deal. Thank you all a lot. You have no idea how much it means to us. ::tight hug::

With that, I leave you with a bright and pretty picture of Chai! [Completely unphotoshopped at all! Hurrah for 8th storey natural lighting!]

Click for a bigger version!

[Afternote : Oh! I can now finally burn my secondary school uniform like I've always threatened to! I'm not going to do it in the quadrangle whenever I go back, but I'll burn it anyway. XD]

YAY I'VE SEWN CHAI'S DEFAULT OUTFIT.

[For those of you who don't have Djinn on your flist, here's the link to Chai's origin and all about him.]

YAY. Admittedly I did put it off due to the time I spend drafting patterns for a new size, but it worked out. He's all techno-y and DJ-y, and so we thought transparent clothing for him would be really awesome-fitting. I didn't actually have much problem except for the $#**&$*# sleeves. Which drove me batty! But it was all sorted out. I know the outfit isn't really very shown here, but there'll be a lot more photos of him in it. The inside is really a baby-blue t-shirt with tight sleeves and a white vinyl cross over the front, at his heart. Oh, and also, we just straightened his wig because it used to puff up one side. So there we go! Djinn says this was what she intended for him at first, so we're all happy about it.

Also, Djinn painted his fingernails today before we went to say byebye to Kim.

I think she did a lovely job! The other hand is pretty much the same.

Can't wait to start doing Chai's photostories and his intro in Tangled, which we incidentally updated last week with Lugosi's gathering. [That happened half a year back.]

In other matters, I've been having constructive sort of sado-masochist fun in JC studying like mad and doing assignments and so on, because of my copious amounts of free periods. I found these happy little partitioned-off cubicle-like desks in the library and I've been enjoying them as I do all my readings and listen to Deathcab. I'm hoping to sort of slack off in this first term and sew more stuff because I won't have this luxury in the next semester.
