EDIT: Sorry folks. Really tremendously apologetic - massively terrible post to fuck up lj-cutting for.

Largely for my own reference, because I was thinking about this a while ago and was horrified to see I'd only done 2006. Much page-stretching and browser-killing to ensue below cut, because that is the nature of 'art'.

First off :

"...tough crowd."

Yes you are! Tough crowd, only a few kind souls clapped for dear Prime - perhaps, like vaudeville too, he will fade under the glare of spotlights and cameras that swing towards the carefully constructed frames on screens; movies, just like vaudeville, G1 Prime is phased out by the really gaudy Blue!Fire decal-ed Mac Truck sponsored by GMC.

Well, you guys will still have to suffer me when I finally get that cane done, anyway.

Also, man, I wish the resin peeps were in a presentable state - they've either been wearing the same thing for the past few months' months, or mysteriously naked [well, not that mysterious, since I've been sewing...]. So just in case I don't get to dress one of the buggers up in time for the acres of lovely April babes, a belated happy birthday to [info]dechanique, [info]aichaku, [info]raydance - and an advanced happy birthday to [info]pho3nix, [info]kaisuki, [info]eluneth, [info]gothiquelolita and [info]sfsakana. Wow! All of you are dolly people, and mostly cosplayers, too. ♥ I (am glad/hope) you all (had/will have) awesome birthdays and (told/tell) us on the flist all about it.

In other news, in an agitated wait for a bottle of Pepsi today from tardy deliverymen, I sat down and finished up another CG project I'd left alone for quite a while. [Yeah, that might explain uh, the lack of [info]yourbrains today...I swear it'll be up by tomorrow. Aha. aha. ahahaha.] Since it was also for [info]sangrose10, I had to finish it up before April. So uh, boobiliciousness abounds.

- you only have to look behind you, at who's undermined you - )

Oh, that also reminds me of something I ran into the supermarket - Klimt's 'The Kiss' on the new Pocky Crush packaging, which made us burst into fits of laughter when we did our supermarket run because I was wearing our terrible-yet-magnetic Decepticon version of The Kiss, as it may be. Naturally we had to take a photo to commemorate the occasion, so here I am with a nervous grin and eyes diverted to the side because I'm watching out for supermarket employees. )

Now all the frivolous stuff are over and done with - I seriously have no idea why there's so much TF in this entry, it's not like we've been bugging out about it or anything, how odd - I can now safely, after having ensured nobody reads this far down, say that I have miraculously been granted an interview from the University of Choice. So er, yay. This has caused me to start reading newspapers in vain prep for it, but I realised I really hate the Straits Times and the articles [including and particularly the Sports section] and I can only agree with the economists. What the hell. TAT

Firstly, I've got to link you to Djinn's little Singaporean drama : Katong Laksa 2009. This little gem came about last night when a cryptic conversation of whether one could be a writer in Singapore cropped up, and on the fly, she created a small passage what sent me into peals of laughter at every sentence [I think "he punched his tray onto the tray rail" was particular genius, and the last line had me falling off the bed in uncontrollable fits] – so if you dislike localised 'literature' and their blatant Orientalist exploitation of their Asian culture like I do, please read it, and make Djinn feel slightly better about me having made her post it in the morning before we've slept on a school day. XD

I'm taking a little time off today to plonk the art I've done but not posted in a while [and quickly post in [info]sangrose10 before three days are over], so here we go. Fair warning that they're in chronological order, and I just found some from uh, last year, so… XD;;;; Fair warning.

Girls, Girls, Girls )

For chronology's sake, one male picture breaks it. Damn you, Nat! )

Okay, back to Girls, Girls, Girls! [One mildly NSFW, undies] )

And that's about it. Now back to the sewing grind, and alternatively dreading D-Day Friday, which in local news, is the coming of my doom arrival of my A'Level results – and I'll probably have to survive through a couple of hours of the school gloating about how fantabulously the statistics did and ignore the students.

Also, $#*@ing somewhat-indie bands! Union of Knives! Statistics! Southland! etc! Why no lyrics?! TAT

PS: Oh, I just thought I should note that my dyed streak is still nicely going strong, though I've grown out about an inch of it.

So it be the last day of my holiday, of which I spent doing my work and readings and a little bit of Tangled stuff [no block tests, you see]. Going back to school makes me baleful, because there's so much more constructive work I do at home as opposed to attempting not to stone out in lectures and staying awake – whereupon I completely lose my urge when the lecturer worriedly asks the rest of the people in lecture : "Am I going too fast?" ZOMG NO.

I had the joy of going out with Djinn on Friday and getting Sheva a suit, hee. I like the look! Very stylish. I'll definitely take an Armani-type photoshoot when I can. : D

Also, explaining my ::headdesk:: type of entry with Sheva's intro post – well, people will know; Djinn will know and now you will know that I'm not the type to first of all buy stuff. I don't indulge. I hardly want things. I didn't want to want Sheva. As Djinn said in a bit of a giggle about it I seemed to be sunk. And I dignifiedly got Sheva for myself with the gingham dress, except Djinn couldn't resist buying a pretty little cheongsam for her future bunny and Sheva to share.

So you'll have to suffer my photos of a stuffed lamb. I'm sorry, but you'll have to deal with it.

This is a shameless, but wholehearted appeal for the artistic folks on my LJ to contribute to [info]sangrose10. It saddens me that there's little activity; I love the concept and I don't want to let it die and rot, it would be lovely to see you guys there. We've switched to a bi-monthly prompt system, so working on prompts won't be too much of a rush. Do check it out and consider! March/April prompts have just been posted.

Past the plea, I haven't posted the semi-recent art recently, so here goes :

old → new; click for full view

Also, since I've joined Synapse [Publications] in my school, I've done a few graphics ie. two posters for CCA Carnival and an illustration for one of my articles, so here goes : Posters : 1. Pen is Mightier than the Sword, 2. Read Between the Lines; and Shine )

Since the dramatic! story arc I'm taking right now will not appear on Tangled until high heavens fall etc. [since we're posting it when Tangled has finally been rehauled], I figure it's harmless to post this.

Sei says it all. Also, the lovely luxurious thing he's wearing is named ~*Seishurou*~, given to us by the ever-lovely Joey [[info]vox_veritas]. ♥ He looks fantastic in it. Brings out his eyes.

I'm not going to update about the rest of the matches before today, because honestly I haven't been watching them too closely. Been running around doing things I need to do and so has Djinn. But she's got a pretty good review of what both of us think about the FIFA matches so FIFA day 7 to 11, and FIFA day 11

I'm out for once watching the Germany vs Ecuador match, and doing my KI classifications [klassifications?] at the same time.

[Happy Birthday Lamp(s)[ard]! - This is an England message.]

Since I rarely have a computer on hand, I'll attempt to do a live update :

Minutes for Germany vs Ecuador, 3-0 )

Well, there was the Germany match. Now if only England will play half as well. D:

I started out wanting to do a really cynical and rather annoyed entry, but this match made me so happy. :DDDD [You've all been spared.]

Oh! Right, to add to the cheeriness of this entry, here's my second [info]sangrose10 piece :

Click for Sangrose post. Quite pleased with it this time.

- England vs Sweden :

Oh my God Mikey! Displaced kneecap?! There's something incredibly sad [ie. pathetic] about watching a single player writhe around on field alone. And oh, Mikey? The strike force is doomed! Barty Peter Crouch can hardly finish and Looney can't seem to keep his foot on the ball and oh Gary what will we do with all of your self-inflicted injuries?!

Time to start supporting Germany fulltime. T_T No, srsly.

So I'm attempting to catch up with things I should've updated with a while back. Here we go -

England VS Trinidad+Tobago )

And also, aha, art. You may or may not remember that I mentioned joining a competition a long time back, one which ran on the band system of awards? As it turned out, it was hardly so - there was one winner for gold, one winner for silver and two tied for bronze. One of those in bronze, out of 150 entries, ended up being me.

I completely didn't expect it, and was rather happy that I didn't go all the way and get lost in NTU for nothing. It just so happens that the other bitter bronze winner decided to ruin my day as, after poring over her 'visual-kei inspired' angel picture, declared rudely and loudly that my proportion was completely off and that I shouldn't have gotten bronze. I was rather offended at first, because she must be some kind of an ass/retard/bitch mentioning it in such a manner when of course I must be nearby, but when I looked at her work I did my fair share of laughing inside, and figured that if I managed to ruin her perfect day by crunching half of bronze, it was worth it and she could run back to her Dir en Grey mp3s and weep her eyes out in rage that she didn't get higher than a bronze and had to share the position with someone else. [I had even more - or less - to say about her proportion, but because I am of course the charming, polite little girl that I am...]

In any case, the judge said that he liked mine because it was simple and clean [haha] and nicely planned. He could tell that I was rushing, and I agreed. Overall I wasn't looking to get anything, so it's nice to get 50 bucks out of the blue.

The theme being Angel, I decided to draw Naoki - an original of mine from a series called G.A.T.E.S - and approach it in a more Mucha-esque manner because I didn't have much time and I wanted a good, clean composition and didn't want to clutter up the picture with inessecent detail all over the place for no good reason. I could've done a lot better, but it wasn't that bad, so I'm quite alright with it. ^^ It's named Angelus 13. [I am fully aware that this is cliche to death. XDDD I did so on purpose.] Thanks to Djinn for all her assistance and support in the theme and advice and the Evangelion-like commentry to go along with it.

And also, more art which I did earlier in the year.

Click for young Alba Meira from King of Fighters:Maximum Impact, I tried out a slightly different way of colouring and I think I've settled with it, I like the effect.

Inspired by Capcom's Midnight Bliss, Iori-chan is the predicted outcome of a possible Midnight Bliss-type spell from Mignon Beart and Iori's now scarily romantic stalkage of Kyo Kusanagi. The uniform, of course, is Ms X's.

Also, I finally covered one of the [info]sangrose10 prompts, Sleep by Story of the year.

Click to go to the Sangrose10 post I made. It's not that fantastic, but I have to stop being picky and just draw.

And that's all the art crap I'm dumping today. I also completed two memes I was tagged for, one recently, one of a long time ago that I completely didn't notice until now.

That's it for today! Listening to Keane's Under the Iron Sea and I'm glad to say I really like the album, and the harmonising is fantastic. I also got my hands on the free Keane shirt that comes along with it, which is really neat. XD I've always wanted a band shirt.
