Hello and welcome to the morning show.

Millionaire's shortbread! A soft dough baked to golden-brown perfection, covered with rich caramel and another thick layer of chocolate, drizzled with its white counterpart!!!

With these three (labelled) components, we assure you three layers of absolute and pure sin!!! How can something this bad taste this good??? How can something this good be bad???

When we get back, we'll tell you all about Australia.

I interrupt my studying spiel with a verrah important announcement of a coming event.

Joey and Uno [and Duende!] of Mistula and Fully Articulated fame will be in Singapore for a Manikako event [of which, if you keep up with Fully Articulated, you should know about]. There will be a Manikako booth at our local MAAD from the 1st to 2nd of September [Saturday and Sunday], 11am to 7pm. Do drop by to support Manikako and get a glimpse of Joey and Uno. XD

Joey may not be at the booth on Saturday in the late afternoon, so if you're intending to do both of these activities [ie. supporting Manikako and getting a glimpse of her and Uno XD], come before then. Djinn and I will be coming by on the 1st of September with Tsuki and Tea. If you're coming along, let me know and I'll pass the message on to Joey.

[will be cross-posty on [info]sd_sg]

On the other hand, I'm just quickly plonking down these little [info]yourbrains-style cutouts of my teachers that I did for my last Teachers' Day in the school. Djinn suggested these.

:O

More details and uh, hanging out on the fridge. )

It seemed that the teachers liked them very much, there was a lot of giggling going on - and in the case of my only male (History) teacher, a lot of grinning going on. So I suppose that goes down as a success! Who doesn't like happy sack creatures, anyhow. :]

Okay, that's all! Back to the studies.

MAE : [wheels over] What kind of guilty pleasures are you indulging in?
DJINN : It's not pleasurable.
MAE : Alright, what kind of self-mutilation are you engaging in?

Okay, past that, this entry is all about shameless promotion. I've got BPAL to post, but it's horrendously long and I've got to get the shameless promotion over with first, so here we go.

[Photoshoot on DoA | on tangled web]

I know, I know, Tsuki all a sudden? I just popped him out of the cupboard for a photo to laugh at him about being '100% woman' but then it morphed into a photoshoot. With him just sitting there! [That's why they're all photos of his face, him lookin' like a 50s starlet.] Oh, TsukiTsuki. Despite how old and queenie [though no one beats Si Ye] you still are lovely to me. Oh and witness the power of Tangled Old-skool - the thread languishes well! XD;;

The photo I really took for [info]sd_sg's photo theme of '100% Woman' was Rennes : she's always a woman to me )

I like the way that almost all of the pics for this theme so far has flesh all over the place. We're so darned sexist. XD

Finally, I know it's horrendous form to pimp a webcomic two times in a row, but I have to show you [info]yourbrains's latest strip, please please please. I'll give you a hint - there's more than meets the eye. XD

So while you weren't looking, I sneakily uploaded two, yes two [info]yourbrainshere strips - well actually, the last time I even actually remotely mentioned the comic was in uh, February 2006, but that's not the point. Okay, um, from the last time I actually updated that was in, oh, 2006, I have sneakily uploaded two, yes two [info]yourbrainshere strips. Hear me, and hold me to my word - I am attempting to update regularly. Like, show up every Sunday. [Unless I actually really annouce hiatus, that is. THE FUTURE IS UNCERTAIN THEN] Also, there has been a YBH FST because, uh, Djinn made it, but it is full of awesome but awful songs. Pls to download even if you don't like me, because the songs fill me with joy.

For those who have no idea what in the world I'm talking about, I have a webcomic. This is where all the pillowy creatures come from and a lovely little intro can be found in the profile of Your Brains Here. And I'm uh, updating! Regularly! Now! [I've done it once, here goes the beginning of a good track record.]

And uh, I swear that I'm going to update again on time this weekend. Really. I have it all sketched and everything! So there ends my shameless, helpless pimping. I'm very bad at this.

I...I think my brain is experiencing some kind of apathy. I'm reading all these things and it's refusing to...to learn.

Goodbye, cruel adventure game!

Also, hot damn, no wonder I liked Pirates of the Caribbean : Curse of the Black Pearl so much. I wish they'd made the Monkey Island movie instead. D:

Yeah so, when you're not subject to my 'creative' endeavours, I have to subject you to Djinn's. Djinn is, as she has said, somehow able in some more less orthodox fields of...creativity. This one is chalk-carving.

Her first documented little work in this field was me in June 2006.

And for some inexplicable reason, I have never posted it 'till now. I'm an ass. D: [To see the entirely overphallic size comparison with Chai you have to see the original entry.

Recently - just a while ago, actually - Mae was joined by a celebrity.

That's none other than Mustrum Ridcully, Archancellor of the Unseen University of Discworld.

Let me explain Djinn's sudden masochistic action of carving up a small piece of chalk for Mustrum Ridcully, other than him being the coolest wizard there was. After [info]raydance's "Boo hiss" about Discworld figurines, I went to check out if there were any; of course there were, were being the operative word - for the company doing them had closed down. A website, dedicated to selling Discworld collectible items, also closed down. Therefore, the long and short is - there are no more Discworld figurines.

So Djinn sat down after dinner as I played an hour more of Escape from Monkey Island I shouldn't be playing and started chipping away at a small piece of red/pink Ikea chalk.

Click for full pictures of Mustrum Ridcully please. )

I could play chess with these things. ::glee:: It's too bad they're 'bit fragile.
Also, I'm sorry I keep posting in a row. It's a desperate attempt of escapism because I won't be able to do it next week.

[Also, this will prolly be crossposted on Djinn's el-jay in her own verbose and personal fashion. But I think he's awesome and we put different images out of cut, so the deja vu will pass.]
